Bounces - frame at 0m1s

The Bounces are one of my favorites and are great for so many reasons. Like the other movements they are a great way to develop the musculature of the Calves and (even more so than the others) stability and stiffness at the Ankle joint (which is a very prone area for Sprains). On top of this though it is also a great way to teach takeoffs for jumps and landings from jumps.

Prescription Options:

  • You can incorporate the Bounces at the end of a Warm Up (pre competition or training) as a means to prime the body for what is to come.
  • The Bounces can be implemented within your training routine as a medium to develop the components mentioned above and during certain phases of training to maintain ground contacts.
  • If you’d like more specific detail on how best, you can implement the Bounces then click on the ‘Help’ button and get in contact with us today.
