Dead Bugs are a great way to develop the musculature of the core, as well as learning how to maintain neutral hips and therefore a neutral spine (you will learn how to avoid going into hyperextension). The Level 1 video provides a few different modifications which can be utilized to progress or regress the movement depending on your starting tolerance / capacity. These modifications are made by adjusting the distance with which your extremities move from your midline.
