YWTA’s are a great way to develop the musculature of the Upper Back & Shoulders, as well as getting familiar with all the different movements that our Scapula (Shoulder Blades) and Shoulders can do. The YWTA’s are four separate positions that vary in difficulty. If you find at this stage that you are unable to perform one of the four, it is ok to leave that one out.

Prescription Options:

  • You can use the YWTA’s informally as a bit of challenge to see how long you can hold each position. Just ensure that you are following the coaching tips in the videos – don’t let your arms drop towards the ground.
  • The YWTA’s can be implemented within your training routine as a medium to develop the components mentioned above.
