Hanging is a position which provides the opportunity for development in a variety of areas ranging from, grip strength to shoulder health & spinal decompression.

Being able to perform the Hang provides a steppingstone into a variety of different Vertical Pull exercises such as the Pull Up or any number of different Pulldown variations.

Prescription Options:

  • You don’t have to be too formal with your Hangs. You can utilize them as a challenge where you may do x1 MAX set per day and see if you can beat your previous time.
  • Or you may use them as a warmup tool before training. To add different demands at the shoulder you can experiment with your grips.
